Magic:

Magic is a top 3 seed in the East, but they can improve. Markelle, although has been great for the Magic over the years, is starting to lose his role with the team due to injuries and the surplus of guards. With 1 year left on Fultz contract, trading him away before losing him for nothing would be most ideal. In this scenario, he is sent to Washington for Landry Shamet and Danilo Gallinari. Shamet is a shooter that they desperately need at the guard/wing position. He has been involved in many playoff games in the past (Nets, Suns, Clippers, Philly) so you can expect him to take big shots and/or step up in the post-season. In addition, Danilo Gallinari is a great veteran to have on this team. Coming off the bench, he can provide anything needed to win on both sides of the floor. Acquiring Gallinari and Shamet is a W for a Fultz trade.

Washington:

Fultz is still young only being 25. He has started his career rough and picked it up when traded to Orlando. Now that he fights for minutes on the Magic, it's Washington's opportunity to scoop him up in a trade. He can learn a lot from Tyus Jones and can complement Jordan Poole and Kuzma's game fairly well.
