Heat:

They ship off Jimmy, b/c obviously he's in trade talks. The thing about the Heat however is that they would want to stay competitive no matter who leaves, hence why you'll rarely see them with a top 5 pick or tanking. In this case, they are basically swapping Jimmy for Brandon Ingram. Not perfect, maybe you believe the Heat need more draft compensation or young assets. But, the whole thing is this: The Heat would feel a lot more comfortable giving a 27 year old all-star level player a long term expensive contract than a 35 year old aging Butler. I believe Brandon is the best player you can get out of a Jimmy Butler trade up to this point. Brandon is the same age as Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro is also close in age. Their supporting cast are some really good players too so this allows for a cleaner slate for the Heat overall. Ingram might not be as competitive and a winner like Jimmy Butler is, but again with Jimmy's current value, I feel like this is a good swap for them.

Thunder:

Cam Johnson is a jumbo 6'8 3 and D wing that can shoot lights out with the basketball and is having an amazing season. His contract is valuable because it is descending and is locked in for a few more years. Dorian Finney Smith is another veteran wing who can provide 3 and D as well. OKC was already doing well, but they get even better because they are adding 3 point shooting and size.

Nets:

They over-performed this season so far. After trading Dennis Schroder for salary dump and picks, it is clear that in this point in time they are shifting towards tanking so they can maximize their luck in the lottery. In this trade, they get Kenrich Williams and Isaiah Joe, two young veteran role players on reasonable contracts (allows them to also be on the trade market sooner than later and get more goods in return). In addition, they get Ousmane Dieng who is a 21 year old wing that is looking for an opportunity, as well as the quiet asset of this trade which is Nikola Topic. The sec…

Lakers:

Lakers could definitely use another guard and although this isn't necessarily a star player, Dennis is still a strong rotational piece. Certainly better than the production of Gabe Vincent and JHS. Dennis can definitely give you great minutes and JJ can insert in many actions because he is a decent playmaker and ball-handler. Along with that he is an okay shooter and good slasher. I mean already know what Dennis can bring to the Lakers because he was there a year ago.

Nets:

They send a veteran guard for a veteran guard back (allows for a new voice in the locker room). Gabe Vincent is also primarily a shooter, so having him can space the floor. He is locked for this year and next year, so within that time he can be part of another trade in the Net's future. In addition, they get Jalen Hood-Schifino, who struggled being on the Lakers, and now he has a shot to excel on a rebuilding Nets….

Pelicans:

They trade Ingram for two quality pieces to improve a lot of areas of their roster. Firstly, Dillon Brooks, although he is the most hatable player in the NBA for the past three years, he is still a good role player for any NBA team that is looking to win now. He brings the 3 point ability, hustle and that defensive/winning intensity that clearly rubbed off the young Rockets core in his time there. He is not Ingram, but he is the type of player that fits with the Pelicans more. Dillon Brooks and Dejounte are two very hungry winners and these 2 additions would uplift this roster talent-wise and mentality-wise. Jonas Valanciunas, on the other hand is also in this deal. This trade only works during the season because Jonas signed with the Wizards. Pelicans made a huge mistake by not signing him back as he is the best center that they can get at the moment. But, they get him back in this trade. Now the pelicans have a strong 3 string center rotation with Missi, Jonas and Theis.

New Orleans:

In the midst of the Ingram trade talks, New Orleans decides to pull the trigger and send him to Houston. In return, the team gets two very valuable veterans who can uplift this roster. Vucevic is a great JV replacement, as he can do a lot on offense like shoot, score in the paint and set screens/do handoff. He can be a great backup to Yves Missi. Dillon Brooks has had a great year and is a glue guy who can score a little bit and play some pesky defense. Overall, a good return.

Houston:

They grab Ingram. Houston missed the play-in tournament last year and this along with the addition of Reed Sheppard automatically upgrades this roster. Last season, the Rockets have caught themselves losing leads in close games in the fourth quarter. Now, the Rockets can feed Ingram the ball and make a play/get a bucket and make something out of nothing. In theory, Ingram is a playmaking forward that can get his teammates easy buckets. If they don't work out however, which is a clear poss…

Warriors:

Although may be the wildest thing ever, I think this would benefit the Warriors. Stephen Curry is still a Top 10 player in the NBA at the very very least, but the fact that he is at age 36 with 2 years left on the contract may be a signal that the end times are near for the former Warriors dynasty. They do have the option to keep Steph while they are rebuilding, but if they want to maximize their future for the next 7 years this package should be considered. In essence, this package may be the only package out there that would have the front office look at it for more than a second. Envision this: Steph and Kyle for a package of Jalen Williams (who was playing like an All-Star all season and postseason, only 22), Nikola Topic (who was supposed to be a top 5 draft pick before his injury), Ousmane Dieng who is a project player that they can develop through the mentorship of Kerr, Wiggs and Draymond, then 10 first round draft picks.

OKC:

Imagine being able to trade for Stephe…
