(I don’t actually think Warriors should/will trade Kuminga, but I think the idea is fair)
Blazers receive- Wiggins, Kuminga, Looney Warriors receive- Grant, Scoot, Reath
Thunder receive- CP3 Warriors receive- Dort, K.Williams
Thompson extended 3 years $18mill per year Hayward extended 2 years $15mill per year
After this season CP3 still has one more season under contract, no player option. Warriors should look to move him and a reunion with him and OKC could be great. CP3 has played in OKC with Shai already and he’s looking to play for a contender. Scoot has shown he has huge potential. He just needs to develop and take time to get his health right. Curry has already taken Scoot under his wing. Scoot could take a few years and be Curry’s backup, learn from him, take time to strengthen his body and stay healthy. Then once Curry retires he can take the reins as the Warriors pg of the future. For the Blazers this is not them giving up on Henderson. IMO Simons has shown he should be their next long term pg. This gives them the opportunity to run Simons and Sharpe as their guards of the future and add Kuminga as a key forward for their future.
