In this trade, Kevin Durant heads to Utah for a solid package built around Donovan Mitchell. The Jazz have indicated that they want to contend and, considering that they still absolutely have all the flexibility in the world after the trade, they have to at least send an offer for Durant. The Nets get the All-Star they have been wanting in return in Donovan Mitchell, along with Randle and Robinson to bolster their frontcourt, and multiple picks in the future. The Knicks receive Mike Conley, Cam Thomas and two first round picks for Randle and Robinson which, considering the fact that Randle is coming off of a bad season and Robinson's injury concerns, is a solid return package, and even if some fans may think it isn't, creating a "realistic" trade including the Knicks gives the other teams more flexibility due to the incompetence of the Knicks front office.
