Sixers get DeRozen and Bogdonavich and other vets to solidify playoff rotation and to get trade assets for a bigger deal next season. The vets and cost controlled young players they are getting are replacing the depth they are losing to make the numbers work.
Bulls get Ivey as a potential SG of the future, picks, and expirings. Get off of toxic asset Lavine and his 4 year contract. Going younger and tanking for short term.
Pistons get a “star” veteran, since they could never attract one in free agency. They get Patrick Williams, who is a great defender. Also get a bunch of expirings to maintain cap flexibility.
I know Bulls fans will say they are giving away too much, but they are going nowhere with this roster and are getting picks and a chance to rebuild around a strong backcourt of Coby White and Jaden Ivey.
