The Thunder land a star guard to pair up with Shai in the backcourt. Garland and Shai mesh very nicely with each other, and propel the Thunder into finals favorites territory. The Thunder aren’t giving up an overpay, as they can easily replace these young players with the haul of picks they have in the 2025 draft. The Denver pick 1-5 protected and the DAL pick is unprotected. This is a really good trade for them that elevates their roster to a whole new level.
Starters: SGA, Garland, JDub, Chet, IHart
Bench: Caruso, Joe, AW, Kenrich, Williams
The Cavs reset their roster around Mitchell, Mobley, and Allen, with players who can help that group of players reach the finals. Dort gives them another 3nD wing to help coverup Mitchell’s defensive shortcomings, and Olynyk can play alongside either Mobley or Allen because of his passing and shooting ability. The also land three future picks that should help them replenish their roster as people become too expensive for them to retain in FA.
Starters: Mitchell, Dort, Strus, Mobley, Allen
Bench: LeVert, Merrill/Wallace, Wade, Niang, Olynyk
The Raptors get two young players with high potential in exchange for Olynyk and an SRP. This is a very low risk/high reward type of trade for them because they are acquiring players who can be a part of their future for very minimal cost.
