Why would Atlanta do this? They get Mikal Bridges, a 2 way wing that will not be overstretched in Atlanta. They'll have him as a building block, and by getting him, they take on the Simmons deal and maybe that works out in the future.

Why the Nets would do it? Dejounte is better with the ball in his hands. Mikal is not. Brooklyn would get Dejounte as someone to build around, and then they fortify the rest of their lineup with Bogdanovic and take a chance on Hunter. As compensation, they take the chance on AJ Griffin and Kobe Bufkin who could find an opportunity in the future for the Nets.
