Lauri is a better fit at the 4 than Mobley because of his spacing ability. Vleet is the ideal point guard next to Mitchell as he doesn’t need to have the ball in his hands and plays tough defense. Because of the nature of Lauri’s contract, Utah sends a pick back. Lauri would need to sign long term in Cleveland. Rockets also send a couple picks due to Fred’s age.

Rockets get an ideal scorer in the backcourt they can build around in Garland. They have him long term and he’s cheaper than Fred right now.

Utah gets their piece to build the roster around in Mobley. He’ll become a double double machine and be their defensive anchor for years to come.
