It rlly doesn't seem like Mavs are in position to land a star, or just a big help for Luka this season. But, I do believe a move has to be made, till this point u cannot tell Luka that this year we won't try to get the chip, or just not make moves to improve the roster.

Burks has been great this season, over 40% from 3, and has always been a good defender. Also he got a bit of ability on running the point/ball handling, and this is exactly what Dallas are trying to search for

Also here they will get Nerlens Noel, if the Mavs finally decide to play a true C, they will hv a better defensive option

These 2 players have team options for next season, making them super flexible, a frp has to be paid here if they don't want to move Josh Green or Jaden Hardy

Pistons:

Adding a frp to their squad, when their record is ass, they should move their vets when they can get picks
