With Koloko's basketball career in question with his respiratory issues. The Raptors trade for a true backup big which they have long been looking for. His natural position is PF. But he has the frame (6'11 240) to play the 5. He can guard 1 through 5, and has some shooting ability. Not the same player he was before the injuries but he's still can bring some good things to the table off the bench which the Raptors need. This also opens up more playing time for lottery pick Gradey Dick. Okeke is a fringe rotation player and a second round pick coming over. Trent is expiring and they probably don't feel like he's a long term guy on this team with Dick playing a similar role and having to pay Siakam and OG potentially. You may assume this hurts the Raptors shooting but the Raptors have actually been a decent 3pt shooting team this year, despite Gary not shooting well this year.

Fultz/Suggs/Franz/Paolo/WCJ

Anthony/Trent/Harris/Moritz/Bitadze

The Magic need floor spacing which has been brutal this year. Trent gives them exactly that. He's not having a great season but this is a nice buy low opportunity and he fits the timeline at age 24. This will allow more spacing for Paolo and Franz to make life easier for them.
