Wizards - While Kuzma might want to be there, the Wizards would rather take what they can get for him. They can reroute Adams to a third team or keep him and get a rebounding menace, and get a young piece in Tari Eason who can backup their rookie Alex Sarr. They also get a pick which could be valuable. I won't go into depth about the protections of this pick after 2027, but at some point the pick would be unprotected, likely around 2029 or 2030. It clears cap in the long run due to Kuzma being on contract for another 3 seasons vs. in this trade getting 2 expiring contracts.

Rockets - They just almost made the Play-In over the Warriors, and after drafting guard Reed Sheppard with their 3rd overall pick, they can make some noise in the West. Sure they have a good amount of forwards right now, but Jabari Smith Jr. is 6'11. He can for sure run some backup center behind Sengun if he has to. He also plays great interior defense and can hold his own in the paint. Kuzma can take his starting role at power forward to space the floor, which they were mediocre at last season (tbh they were mediocre at everything).
