Oklahoma City Thunder
Oklahoma has been really good so far this season, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t look to improve even more. Kelly Olynyk is a quality backup big man that is going to space the floor, be a good playmaker, and be a good leader/mentor in the locker room. During last years trade deadline, we saw several players be traded in exchange for five second round picks, and I think Kelly Olynyk is in a similar boat to those players. OKC had plenty of draft picks, so losing 5 seconds won’t hurt them much at all. It’s worth it to acquire someone like Olynyk, who can be a valuable player both on and off the court

Utah Jazz
Utah could be looking to move some of their veterans at the trade deadline this year, and I think that starts with Kelly Olynyk. While he has been a valuable player to the Jazz, I think they are better off moving him at the deadly for some value as his contract expires next year and Utah could then lose him. While I think there is a legitimate argument that Utah should be looking to get a first round pick for Olynyk, five second round picks isn’t too shabby. They also retain cap flexibility as Davis Bertans contract is non-guaranteed. A move like this could set in motion a full rebuild for the Jazz, with more dominos likely to fall soon after if a move like this was made

OKC fans, do you think Kelly Olynyk would be a good addition to the team, or would OKC be better off going in a different direction?
Jazz fans, do you think this is a suitable return for Kelly Olynyk, or do you think they could get more value back?
