First off, I am fully aware that the Nets organization has stated that they will not trade Mikal Bridges and that he is currently considered untouchable…

…However, When it comes to the OKC Thunder and their current plethora of draft capital and young talent, I truly believe that nobody in the league is completely out of their grasp.

The Nets hardly have any draft capital over the next four years, and with competitiveness rapidly rising in todays NBA, their current core will be no more then a fringe Play-In team.

Mikal Bridges is a dope player and I’m sure the city and fans will miss him, but with more draft capital the Nets can have a much brighter future so long as they draft well and focus on developing their young players. With Ben Simmons contract expiring soon they will also have the cap space to lure in veteran free agents. They don’t necessarily need to be a good team, just a fun team to watch so they can still generate revenue. Sort of like a discount 2018 Nets squad.
