T Wolves get: Cameron Johnson Wendell Carter JR Jalen Suggs Magic 2026 1st Round Pick

Magic get: Karl-Anthony Towns Nets 2028 2nd Round Pick

Nets get: Mike Conley Cole Anthony Sam Merrill Dean Wade Caleb Houstan Jett Howard Cavs 2027 2nd Round Pick

Cavs get: Dennis Schroder

Why the Timberwolves do this: They get an actual power forward in Cam Johnson while adding more depth with Wendell Carter and Jalen Suggs, as well as a first in 2026. T Wolves really had to offload KAT at some point to give the lineup a better fit and increase cap space. And Jalen Suggs is a great replacement for Conley long-term. Wendell Carter and Cameron Johnson provide ample offense and better defense in the paint than Karl-Anthony Towns.

Why the Magic do this: They get a star center in Towns who can definitely help the Magic with the offense in the playoffs. They also get compensated a 2nd round pick. This also gives them more safety in trading their other centers in Goga and Moritz Wagner and adding them to a trade for an adequate guard.

Why the Nets do this: They offload Cameron Johnson, Dennis Schroder, and 1 2nd for 6 players and another 2nd. Mike Conley, aside from being a vet, is a decent point guard who can still give the Nets 2 years of service. Then they get Cole Anthony, who can develop more while alongside Conley, shooters in Sam Merill and Dean Wade, and 2 extra players in Caleb Houstan and Jett Howard who might not provide too much and were really only involved for salary purposes. But the Nets can still try to do something with those two.

Why the Cavaliers do this: I can't really explain it in a way where it makes the Cavs look significantly better, but they offload 2 role players and a 2nd round pick for Dennis Schroder. There you have it. There are cheaper options that are definitely possible, like Sam Merill or D Wade with two 2nds, or both players with no picks.

Anyways, let me know if this is a good trade and tell me what changes I could've made.
