I tried to actually have everyone benefit here.

Cavs: The Cavs move off of Garland as they’re rumored to and get both real win-now pieces and three future 2nds to replenish their quiver of draft picks for more win-now trades. Kuzma is a gunner and I like his offensive aggressiveness next to Mobley and Allen. Tyus can do 75% of what Darius can do, and the sign and trade is a good deal tying him down long-term so the team retains a true floor general who can start or come off the bench. I’d start Mitchell, Strus, Kuz, Mobley, and Allen for the most part. The lineup flexibility the Cavs would have would be elite and they can continue to add while keeping the ball primarily in Mitchell’s hands.

Spurs: The Spurs get their PG of the future and keep their better pick at 4 to add a strong prospect like Risacher, Holland, Matas, Castle, or Knecht at the wing. They give up picks but keep most of their assets, while buying a young all-star PG who fits perfectly with Wembanyama.

Wizards: The Wiz follow through with trading Kuzma and don’t lose Tyus Jones for nothing. This fully commits them to their rebuild as probably the NBA’s worst team in 2024, tanking for a top-heavy 2025 class. They’re rumored to want an extra 2024 1st, which they get at 8 to add a piece to their core, and they pick up a ton of other assets as well. They also trade Kispert instead of extending him and take back Keldon Johnson and salary filler. They have good wings already (Bilal, Avdija, Keldon) and will likely draft another in a few weeks, with the opportunity to take their point guard or center of the future too. They’ll have the ability to add/overpay players in free agency as well. I’d look for them to add cheap youngish upside PGs, like Markelle Fultz, THT, DeAnthony Melton, Vit Krejci, or DSJ, or cheaper vets like Monte Morris or Kris Dunn.

Pistons: Detroit buys some cheap shooting, giving up only 2nd round picks and Fournier to tangibly improve their roster with multiple strong fits at the wing around Cade Cunningham. PBJ is an incentive as a long-term prospect, who they might as well take a swing on to see if his flashes of shooting/scoring talent can mesh with the length, athleticism, and defense of the rest of the roster.
