Gladly will take feedback on how to address these trades. These btw wouldn’t be the only deals that Portland would make. They will be explained in the description
Lakers go get Jerami Grant. They give up Bench players and a top 5 protected pick for a 20 PPG wing who can also defend. I can add a couple seconds for taking on Vincent‘s contract, but I don’t think Grant is worth more than a FRP and Rui.
Russell, Reaves, James, Grant, AD
Bulls get a C who fits well with the core. I did another trade like this already. But with Vucevic getting older and looking washed, Timelord when healthy is worth this for Chicago. Portland gets their pick back and considering they have no need for him as they have Ayton and drafted Clingan.
Giddey, White, Lavine, Williams, Williams
Hawks get the perfect compliment to Trae. Thybulle might not be a good offensive player, But he’d look better on that end in Atlanta. He’s an elite defensive 2 guard who can start and be the perfect compliment to Trae. Nance isn’t really needed on this team.
Trae, Thybulle, Risacher, Johnson, Capela
Blazers end up getting their pick back for Timelord, a pick plus Rui for Grant. They are close to tax, but they can move to get expiring salary and reduce money
First: send Jevon Carter to the Memphis Grizzlies for Derrick Rose. Waive Rose
Second: Send Larry Nance Jr. to the Clippers for PJ Tucker. Buy out Tucker.
If you want to: Send Rui Hachimura to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Caris Levert and 3 second round picks.
Simons, Sharpe, Deni, Ayton, Clingan
Vincent, Scoot, Camara, Walker, Reath.
Could very well see Ayton being moved at the deadline, the Pelicans might be interested in him. Perhaps in a BI deal who knows. But I don’t think it’s an issue to play him at the 4
Lmk your thoughts.
