Lakers - They get a veteran stretch big who won’t clog the paint in Horford who allows AD to dominate down there. They get also solid PG in Schroeder (which they need after trading Rondo). Fernando is salary filler in this trade. Things haven’t been working out with the Lakers and this trade can be done immediately (if the Celtics agree of course). Lineup for the playoffs, starters: Schroeder-Monk-LBJ-Davis-Horford. Bench: Nunn-Bradley-Melo. This definitely gives the Lakers a better chance at winning a ring.

Celtics - Like the Lakers the current group of guys for them just aren’t getting it done. However, the solution to that isn’t trading one of Tatum or Brown. Westbrook doesn’t solve all of their issues but he does improve the team. He is still a great player despite the poor shooting and high amount of turnovers. Their lineup after this trade: Westbrook-Smart-Brown-Tatum-Williams. The only problem I can see with this lineup is spacing but only Williams is a complete non-shooter, Westbrook and Smart are both having down years in percentages but there is every possibility that they could bounce back.
