I think it's interesting the Hornets have been rumored to be interested in mitchell. Maybe its all smoke and mirrors to lure the Knicks to a better offer, but I think this would be an actual competitive offer that the Hornets could offer.

----This deal can only happen if the Hornets are able to make a separate deal where they offer minor draft compensation to the Spurs to adjust pick protections for the 2023 pick they owe. Currently it's lottery protected until 2025, but I think the spurs would be happy to remove the pick protections to increase the chance of getting a better pick from the Hornets. Especially if they got an additional 2nd round pick to from the Hornets to make it happen.

Anyway, just a thought. Would the Hornets consider offering this? If so, I think the Jazz would strongly consider taking this.

What do you guys think?
