If you can't tell already by all of the Wiggins trades, I'm a fan of his despite his recent downturn. I think he's a great fit on this Knicks team and would give them what they need at the 3, on defense and if he's able to regain his shooting stroke, even partially, he'd be a big asset. The Knicks also just got some terrible news that Mitch is likely out for the season. While he's been more durable in recent seasons prior to this setback, I'm worried about his future going forward. The Knicks aren't exactly a win-now team but an extended absence from Mitch puts a lot in question. I also think that Hartenstein can be a really impactful starter and opens up so much more on offense than Mitch (anyone know if we have his bird rights so we can re-sign him, I'd hate to lose him). The Wizards are also a team that is trying to lose at this point and wouldn't be bothered by having Mitch out for the rest of the season. This trade would have to happen after January 15th due to the restrictions on Kuzma.

Knicks: As I've said before, Wiggins would slot in so well in many ways. He's an elite defender who can guard the leagues best players and despite his struggles this year, teams still have to pay attention to him as a shooter so he can stretch the floor. Plus with high-usage players like Brunson, Randle and RJ, there's not as much of an offensive load for him. Gafford has looked like a solid big and could backup Hartenstein and is on a reasonable contract. He's young and has improved steadily each year and would allow for the Knicks to relax a bit at the 5 position. Finally they get Moody who is a young wing prospect who hasn't gotten much of a look on the Warriors. He's big enough that he could be the Knicks backup PF which could spell some more rest for Randle and could be flipped in a future trade for another star. Given the relatively high value of IQ, Grimes and Mitch (despite IQ's impending restricted free agency and Mitch's injury) and Wiggins relatively low value due to this years performances, they wouldn't have to give up much in exchange so they'd still have plenty left over for a star trade next offseason.

Wizards: The Wizards are finally tanking. After a long time of being just good enough to make the playoffs but never get any farther, they're doing what they should have done a long time ago and banking on the draft and acquiring young players and assets to develop. They get a starting PG in IQ who is a solid 3 point shooter and defender and fits their timeline. Mitch is also still young and is a defensive force. They can afford to be patient with him and since he wouldn't be playing in Thibs system anymore, he might get more time to rest when he does come back and might not be used the same way which should help his durability. Regardless, he's on a decreasing contract and can be elite on defense. Both IQ and Mitch would help the rebounding and defense of this team going forward. Kuzma was always likely going to be a player they flipped at some point and this way they get their FRP back which opens up a lot more trade options for them. They maybe should get another protected first or some high value second rounders, but I feel like IQ and Mitch's levels are a great return for them.

Warriors: The Warriors have looked slightly better lately but you still wouldn't bet on this team in the playoffs, let alone to contend for a title despite their crazy high payroll. They move off of Wiggins who's been terrible for them this year and Moody who they only recently have started giving time to. In exchange, they get Kuzma who can score and rebound well and has the size to help them while Draymond is out and is a solid enough defender as well. They also get 3 and D wing Quentin Grimes who can guard the elite offensive players in the league, doesn't need the ball in his hands and can light it up from 3. They get a FRP from the Knicks and another pick in the second round to help them in future trades or to add a young prospect in this years draft.
