This is essentially two trades packed into one. Picks 19, 21, 32 for pick 8. In most draft classes, the Knicks would have to give up more but the general analysis is that talent between picks 7-20 are quite close to each other. The second trade is Harris (salary dump) + Bamba for Kevin Knox.

ORL Considering there are no tier 1 or 2 players by pick #8, the rebuilding Magic team may opt to take 3 smaller swings with 19, 21 and 32. Carter Jr seems to be the preferred center going into camp over Bamba and with one year left on Bamba's deal before he is a RFA, the Magic may not mind moving him to get off Harris' contract.

NYK The Knicks have plenty of draft options with picks 19, 21, 32 but they have been heavily linked to Brooklyn native James Bouknight who at one point was considered a mid to late first round pick and is now projected to go in the lottery, possibly in the top 10. By using their ample cap space to take on Harris who can serve as Bullock's replacement as a starter or off the bench, they also receive a stretch 5 asset in Mo Bamba to back up Mitch Robinson.
