As the 76ers, what option would you choose moving forward?

The 76ers have worked for years to make sure everybody except Embiid has contracts expiring at this year's offseason, hence why they probably didn't ask too many times for Powell from the Clippers. This has resulted in about 55-65 million dollars in cap space they can spend, assuming they rescind the cap holds of most of their key players, including Tobias Harris. However, a certain team in Canada have three players which they can't possibly all resign, and Philadelphia will definitely be interested in them.

Option 1 - Sign Siakam to max, sign Hield

Siakam and Embiid, both Cameroonian by blood wouldn't have the greatest fit together, but surround them with shooters and a third star in Maxey, and who's to say this isn't a championship calibre team? Three All-Star calibre players, all in their primes would still be a scary sight for any team, and they would still have enough cap space to sign Hield to a 15m/y deal, reportedly what he's looking for. However, the rest of the roster would have to be done by minimums and the 8m MLE they'll be handed, similar to how the Suns had to go bargain shopping this year.

Option 2 - Sign Klay and OG, retain Harris

Klay's contract extension has reportedly been 'going nowhere' and the Warriors haven't managed to reach a settlement. While it's unlikely the splash bros seperate, Embiid and shooters who would get plenty of open looks sound like a great idea, and OG and Klay are both great shooters, and good defenders. This should leave them enough cap space to sign role players like Melton and KJ, but not enough to retain Harris unless he takes a significant pay cut.

Option 3 - Run it back, sign GTJ/Hield

If the 76ers go past the 1st round, Reed's contract becomes fully guaranteed, taking up 7m of their precious cap space. At that point, they already would be unable to sign Siakam to a max contract, or if they do, be forced to sign everyone else on the roster to minimums. At that point, why not run it back? Harris's a great fit, they already gave up a FRP for Melton and KJ's cap hold is a bargain. They'd also be left with around 15-18m of cap space depending on the increase of the salary cap. That would be just about enough to sign an elite shooter like Hield or GTJ to round out the roster.

Option 4 - Keep cap space for trades

As unlikely as this option is, the 76ers could keep most of their cap space for future trades where they would have to give up a lot lesser salary to make trades financially possible next season. I personally think Morey won't do this, so I won't be wasting much of an explanation on it.

Option 5 - Trade for players now

One of the most realistic options and what Morey said he's planning to do, is mostly disregard the cap space they have and instead use the picks they acquired for Harden, and trade for players like LaVine or OG (who they resign). It's a much more reliable option for sure, as many teams have kept cap space for free agency signings (like the Mavericks post-2011 till Luka) which never worked out and they wouldn't want to waste Embiid like the Mavs mostly wasted Dirk.
