This is a 5-team trade that completes the Memphis roster, gives Toronto a faster way to rebuild, the Nets an alternative to remaining mediocre for years, Cavs a way to fix their frontcourt issues and not lose Mitchell for free and New York their homegrown star. ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Reasoning for the Memphis Grizzlies Memphis recieve: Jarrett Allen, Cameron Johnson Memphis give up: Luke Kennard, Steven Adams, Ziaire Williams, Jake LaRavia, John Konchar, 2024 MEM, 2026 MEM, 1 SRP Why they do this: The Grizzlies have one of the worst records in the league right now at 11-22. While things have looked a lot better with Ja's return, there's still no guarantee that they'd make the playoffs in a very deep Western Conference. On the flip side, the 2024 FRP is very valuable and worst-case scenario, falls in the 10-15 range. This trade lets them keep a lot of their draft equity for future trades instead of comitt…

This trade will only happen in the trade deadline, if KAT doesn't return to All-Star form before then and if Atlanta remain mediocre. This is a 5-way trade that helps Atlanta break out of its mediocrity, Minnesota a way out of KAT's extension, Toronto expiring contracts to help resign OG and GTJ, and Barnes the following year, OKC one of the best rebounding centers in the game and Wizards a first to continue their tanking.

─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Reasoning for the Washington Wizards Washington recieve: De'Andre Hunter, Alexei Pokusevski, Shake Milton, Jalen McDaniels, 1 FRP, 2 SRPs Washington give up: Kyle Kuzma, Danilo Gallinari, Delon Wright Why they do this: They pick up a former FRP in Poku, as well as a former lottery pick in De'Andre Hunter and a FRP that probably is in the 15-20 range. All that for a player that's never made All-NBA or an All-Star game is more than good value. Kuzma's having one o…

The 76ers have worked for years to make sure everybody except Embiid has contracts expiring at this year's offseason, hence why they probably didn't ask too many times for Powell from the Clippers. This has resulted in about 55-65 million dollars in cap space they can spend, assuming they rescind the cap holds of most of their key players, including Tobias Harris. However, a certain team in Canada have three players which they can't possibly all resign, and Philadelphia will definitely be interested in them.

─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Option 1 - Sign Siakam to max, sign Hield

Siakam and Embiid, both Cameroonian by blood wouldn't have the greatest fit together, but surround them with shooters and a third star in Maxey, and who's to say this isn't a championship calibre team? Three All-Star calibre players, all in their primes would still be a scary sight for any team, and they would still have enough cap space…

The most unrealistic part of this trade is that Bulls FO accepting their mistakes and blowing it up. Given that they do, this is what I think happens. This is a 5-way trade that gives the Pistons another scoring option to pair with Cade, the Clippers an alternative to the never-ending Harden saga, the Grizzlies a short-term solution to their rebounding issues and the Hawks a true backup PG that happens to be the best perimeter defender in the league.

─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Reasoning for the Los Angeles Clippers Clippers recieve: Demar DeRozan, Bojan Bogdanovic, sign Wenyen Gabriel in FA Clippers give up: Nicolas Batum, Robert Covington, Mason Plumlee, Marcus Morris Sr, Amir Coffee, 2 FRPs Why they do this: Giving up the assets that would otherwise be used to sign Harden on two almost equally as valuable pieces seem like a no brainer for the Clippers. To have one of DeRozan and Bogdanovic coming off the …

This is a 4-way trade that helps the Cavs get another All-Star to offload Mitchell's scoring burden, the Knicks a star that's more reliable in the playoffs for cheap, the Grizzlies a center and the Raptors picks to begin their rebuilding process.

─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Reasoning for the Cleveland Cavaliers Cleveland recieve: Julius Randle Cleveland give up: Jarrett Allen, Ricky Rubio, 3 SRPs Why they do this: This is an incredibly cheap way to obtain an All-Star for the Cavs, who are struggling shooting-wise this season, and need a player to take some attacking load off of Donovan Mitchell. Garland may be that person, but we know what Randle can do, especially in the regular season. He may not be as defensively sound as Allen, and he does not block nearly as many shots, but he's a much better shooter and a more dynamic offensive threat. It would also clear up the paint to let Mobley develop his offensiv…

This is a 5-way trade that helps the Nets get their franchise star, the Wolves a way to break up their twin towers experiment, the Mavericks their center and the Raptors their asking price for OG.

Note: The Suns pick only goes to the Raptors if OG gives verbal confirmation that he's willing to resign with Minnesota, otherwise the Wolves keep the pick. ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Reasoning for the Brooklyn Nets Brooklyn recieve: Karl Anthony-Towns Brooklyn give up: Nicolas Claxton, Spencer Dinwiddie, 2 FRPs Why they do this: In the modern era, it's impossible to even be a playoff team with two complete non-shooters in the starting 5, and that's the situation Brooklyn find themselves in right now. Simmons has negative trade value and anyway has shown promising flashes in preseason in returning to his All-Star form. Getting one of, if not the best stretch 5's in the NBA right now to replace their second non-sho…

Obviously this is way too early, but just some thoughts and something I can compare to halfway into the season.

Pistons - Ron Holland. Bogdanovic will probably be traded and anyway is too old for their current core, and Holland would slot in perfectly beside Cade, Ausar, Stewart and Duren with Ivey coming off the bench. Hornets - Stephon Castle. Rozier doesn't match their timeline and he would probably be better for them as a scoring punch off the bench. LaMelo, Castle, Miller, PJ and Williams does bode for a promising future. Wizards - Alexandre Sarr. They may already have Gafford, but the team will be tanking still for a couple years and as we've all learnt as NBA viewers, when you pick this high in the draft you go for talent not fit, and Sarr's talent is undeniable. He can run PF if the Wizards don't want to hamper Gafford's development, Tyus can be moved to the bench where he thrives and the Washington front office can experiment with Poole being their PG as he's already shown ma…

Note: this only happens if GTJ gives Orlando verbal confirmation that he's interested in signing an extension with them. ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Reasoning for the Orlando Magic Orlando recieve: Gary Trent Jr. Orlando give up: Jalen Suggs, Jonathan Isaac, 2025 BOS/MEM SRP, 2027 BOS SRP Why they do this: It's been two years since Suggs has been picked at 5th by Orlando and he hasn't done enough to justify that selection. His minutes has been reduced and will continue to do so as Magic selected two guards in their draft. It's the perfect time for Orlando to cash in on his value while it's still somewhat intact. GTJ is a great fit for a team that is desperate for shooting and perimeter defending, and his age coincides perfectly with their young core, with their starting 5 all going to be under 25.

This is a 5-way trade that helps the Pacers get rid of Hield, the Magic to take their next step, the Mavericks to get their center, the Hawks to get a true running partner with Trae and the Raptors a way to save their 2024 pick. ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Reasoning for the Orlando Magic Orlando recieve: Buddy Hield Orlando give up: Cole Anthony, Gary Harris, 2025 DEN FRP (lottery protected) Why they do this: The Magic desperately need a starting SG that can add shooting to the team, and Buddy Hield is exactly that. The franchise is almost done with their tanking process and is ready to slowly get into the playoff picture again, and trading away Anthony who had a great season but would be third-string PG behind Black and insignificant assets for the second best shooter is a good way to start.

The Suns have spent an exorbitant amount of money this offseason to make a big 4 of Beal, Booker, KD and Ayton but one of them is significantly worse than the other four and is still earning a max contract. With the second apron consequences really kicking in this season PHX is better off trading him for depth and a large expiring contract instead, which is what they're doing here.

─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Reasoning for the Phoenix Suns Suns recieve: 1 SRP, Ivica Zubac, Terence Mann, Marcus Morris Sr. Suns give up: Deandre Ayton, Damion Lee, Ish Wainright, Jordan Goodwin Why they do this: As said earlier, the second apron consequences start to really kick in after next season and getting a little cheaper by obtaining a large expiring contract in Morris's 17.1m and still getting an adequate replacement of Ayton in Zubac helps them avoid some of these repurcussions.

Rumours of Siakam going to the Hawks and Capela going to the Mavs have been going around recently and this trade combines both speculations.

─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Reasoning for the Atlanta Hawks Hawks recieve: Pascal Siakam, free up cap space to sign Kelly Oubre Jr. Hawks give up: 2024 SAC FRP, 2029 ATL FRP t5-protected, AJ Griffin, Clint Capela, De'Andre Hunter Why they do this: Trade offers have been stalling because Siakam was on an expiring deal and even though they would have bird rights on him, he was a flight risk. In this trade he's extended and then traded, hence locking him up at least contractually for the next 4 years. They also get cap space to sign Kelly Oubre Jr to run their 3 since they lose a lot of wings in this deal. Giving up Capela also means Onyeka finally gets his starting spot to show why the Hawks used a lottery pick on him.
