As a Lakers fan I'm a big fan of Reaves starting at the PG and having Dlo coming off the bench.
I really like the thought of:
Starters: Reaves, Ayo, Rui, Lebron, AD Bench: Dlo, Max/Carter, Knecht, Vando, and Val
Would be pretty hard for the Bulls to want to trade away the hometown rising stud in Dosunmu, but recent reports have indicated that asset acquisition and keeping that 2025 first round pick is the top priority for the Bulls organization, even if it means trading away coby white or ayo.
Is this a an overpay for either Jonas or Ayo? I'm a big Jevon Carter fan, but I definitely would prefer Max getting the majority of the bench minutes. I see Carter being a POA defender who can occasionally hit a three and fill some guard rotation minutes when there are injuries. Jonas can hold down the center minutes coming off the bench or next to AD. He makes threes sparingly, but hopefully he can get some more open three's if others like Lebron AD or Reaves are drawing most of the attention. Ayo Dosunmu is the real prize here and with reports saying the Bulls are open to trading him, I'm surprised there haven't been more rumors surrounding him. He's an up and coming 25yo who's currently averaging 11 pts, 4.5 rebounds and 4 assists. Career 36% three point shooter, and shoots between 3-4 per game. What really draws me to him, is his defense. Great POA defender, big build at 6'5 200lbs and great motor. I see him transitioning from a solid role player to a high level contributor as a third or fourth option on a contender. I think it's worth giving up a FRP because he's good enough to contribute right now, but is young enough to contribute for years after Lebron retires.
Thoughts?
