The Lakers desperately need a better 3 and D role player who can come off the bench, help relieve LeBron of his duties, and play hard-nosed defence on potentially the opposing team's best player/s. Jaden Mcdaniels is one of the few players that come to mind and the added bonus is that he is young and on a very nice and manageable contract. Darvin Ham, being a defence first coach, will be pleased to have a more athletic and young wing that he can play over Troy Brown Jr and Juan Toscano Anderson. Naz Reid will provide a nice stretch big type of play that can be played around AD and Jordan McLoughlin will most likely get bought out and the lakers will most likely bring in another backup wing for insurance policy and those guard minutes will most likely go to Dennis Schroder when he comes back from injury.

The Timberwolves are in desperate need of a scoring guard that can shoot the ball. Kendrick Nunn is known for his shooting ability and isolation offence. Chris Finch is also a very big offensively-minded coach, which will work out well for Kendrick Nunn. The Timberwolves also need a wing that can play up to 10 to 15 minutes a night on the wing to help Kyle Anderson on the defensive side of the ball and hustle the team, which is something that the team hasn't been able to achieve ever since they lost Beverly. Juan Toscano-Anderson fits that role whole-heartedly and will be able to come into the team and help them hustle and play defence and shoot the ball mildly (but ultimately that will be Kyle Anderson's job and Toscano-Anderson will take up the defensive wing job).

Both teams will be getting great value from each other, but the Lakers need to have more insurance for their future (which they care so much about and therefore, won't trade Westbrook) and the timberwolves are in need of a pick now in their imminent future (since they gave all their picks to the jazz in the rudy Gobert trade).

Let me know what you all think.
