Lakers say F them picks

Rudy Gay's salary is not required here. The trade still works if you take him and/or Wenyen out. But the Lakers will need to cut someone if they take on more players than they trade away. That should be Jones if the Lakers aren't penny pinching. If the cash matters then they would probably cut Matt Ryan.

Does this trade make sense for all three teams? I'm trying my best to be reasonable.

The Jazz clear a lot of money off of next year's books and get two 1sts for their trouble.

The Pacers save some money this year, get all of the Lakers tradable 2nd round picks, and a few players that should be decent to good trade assets later in the year. They don't get the 1sts but they aren't taking on any bad money either. This seems reasonable to me for a potential one year Turner rental and Hield's negative contract.

The Lakers get depth, shooting, and a chance to have some year over year consistency for one. I like this better if we leave Rudy and Wenyen out of it but I'm trying to be objective.

Thoughts?
