So, here we go. The Mavs need a youth movement. We have 2 firsts and 2 seconds to make it happen.

Recently AG_Atto0 made me think about this idea to help Chi with their window of opportunity with Demar. Switching out some of their youth to get vets that are plug and play this year, right now could be a good way to go for them. DFS is the heart and soul of our defense, he would replace that which they are missing with Lonzo right now, no waiting. Dinwiddie would provide the PG duties Chi is also looking for.

Cha, I know, I know, PJ. This trade gives them a crap ton of salary relief, good and stable vets for the lockerroom and some youth along with picks to make a deal later after they’ve tanked the year and picked Wemby.

The Mavs, I know, I know, we want to save our picks for that 1 big trade. I myself have not wanted to pair Luka with another star. He just needs high caliber starters that are switchable on defense and do multiple things well on offense. I think this trade creates that. We also would have 1 more pick (either 24 or 25) to trade in the offseason with Bertans, at that point, expiring deal to pick up 1 more upgrade.

This trade allows us to have a full team that looks great around Luka.
