Collin-Murray Boyles is easily a top 15 prospect in the draft, and I currently have him in my top 10. It’s so easy to project him being an extremely valuable role player for a longtime, and he also is quite young for a sophomore in college (doesn’t turn 20 till June next year I believe). I don’t see a justifiable reason to rank him outside of top 15 on my own board right now, and he gets a top ten spot for me because I truly do believe he will end up being a starter in the NBA.
I would draft Asa Newell before any other “big man” in the draft not named Collin Murray-Boyles (I use quotations because I don’t think CMB or Newell will play at center consistently in the NBA. I think they’ll both get relatively even playing time at the PF and C positions). He gets an A+ in energy and hustle, can score very efficiently on his two pointers, and is really growing as a defender. Oh, and did I mention that he can also make three point shots? I don’t expect him to be a star, but he has all the tools and skill needed to be a longterm starter in the NBA.
Kasparas Jakucionis is in the running for being a top five prospect in the draft. He’s the best passer in the draft by a relatively large margin in my opinion, and I believe in his creation upside turning into reality. He’ll be a lead guard for an NBA team and probably be near the top of the leaderboard in assists as well.
