SUCCESS

The Hawks move on from Collins big money long term contrct to gain future cap flexibility & massively upgrade the teams bench depth. 3rd year man Saddiq Bey would takeover for Collins at PF, where his skill set should make him a great fit with Young/Murray/Capella. Jae Crowder will back up Bey & give ATL a defensive stopper to match up against teams top scorers. Landry Shamet and Evan Fourneir will be the primary backups SG & SF. Cory Joseph will fight it out with Aaron Holiday for the #2 PG spot

PF: Bey, Crowder, Griffin

SF: Hunter, Fournier, Johnson

SG: Murray, Shamet, Martin

PG: Young, Holiday, Joseph

The Suns finally pull the trigger on a Crowder deal to add some help on the wings. Bogdan Bogdanovic who is currently out with an injury is expected to be back in 1-2 months. He will likely be the primary backup option at both SG/SF and see close to 30 minutes per game. Bogdan's ballhandling & shooting skills will be a big boost to the Suns second unit. Veteran sharp shooter Justin Holiday will cover the backup SF spot until Bogi's ready & battle with Damion Lee for minutes once he is back. Vit Krejci gives depth at the F spots.

One of the Pistons biggest weaknesses is lack of size, rebounding and paint protection in the starting unit with Bey & Bojan Bogdonovic at the forward spots. The 6"9, 235lb Collins should help solve that problem and give the team another high flying lob threat to go along with Duren and Bagley. The 25 year old Collins will fit right in with Cade, Ivey, Duren, Stewart & Hayes as young building blocks for the Pistons. Immanuel Quickley should see minutes at both guard spots and G League standout Brandon Boston Jr give DET a young wing to develop.

PF: Collins, Stewart, Knox

SF: Bojan, Livers, Boston

SG: Ivey, Burks, McGruder

PG: Cade, Hayes, Quickley

First 4 off the bench: Burks, Stewart, Duren, Hayes

The Knicks clear out their backcout logjam and find a taker for Evan Fournier. Versatile Forward Robert Covington joins the Knicks and will likely slot in as the backup to Cam Reddish at SF. The freakishly athletic Hami Diallo gives NY a young depth option on the wing.

PF: Randle, Toppin, Simms

SF: Reddish, Covington, Mykhailiuk

SG: Barrett, Grimes, Diallo

The Clippers trade from their stockpile of wings to add some much needed big man depth. Newcomers Nerlens Noel and Dario Saric will battle for the backup C minutes behind Ivaca Zubac. The $18M in expiring contracts of Saric and Noel (and the #2 pick) could be very useful trade bait for LA at the deadline should they decide to take a big swing.

Projected Clippers Depth Chart

PF: Morris, Batum, Saric

SF: Leonard, Kennard, Coffey

SG: George, Powell, Mann

PG: Jackson, Wall, Preston
