The Lakers have shown that they are willing to move on from DLo and that they need help at the big man spot, specifically rebounding. Look at Jalen Duren who is one of the best rebounders in the league and needs more time to develop other areas of his game and pair him with AD who can help him in the paint and stretch the floor with Duren down low. Fontecchio is added to make the money work and give the Lakers needed outside shooting.

Detroit needs a better defensive Center or a guy who can space the floor. It’s evident right now that they need one or the other but when Ausar comes back it’ll be even more true. Look for the Pistons to try and sign Myles Turner or Naz Reid in the offseason to pair with Beef Stew and this team accelerates their rebuild. I’d also expect Detroit to move on from Ivey to land a better #2 option or a better shooting wing to pair with Ausar.
