Why ATL does do this? Atlanta needs to hit a refresh button, on this subpar team. Bringing in a secondary star in Siakam, also them to replace Murray with Size. OG brings defense, and Killian brings the missing playmaking from Murray. Killian would benefit from a system that has a bunch of shooters around.

Why DET does do this? Detroit needs a hard reset to the beginning of the season when they started off 2-1 and played excellent defense. Murray would fit well next to Cade because he can be a secondary ball-handler, and provide much need defense on this team right now. This move would lighten the Load of Cade immediately, this would also bring in Hunter who is shooting 40% from 3 this year and can be a good 3-D forward for the pistons. This move also gives up some youth for veteran experience which is much needed for the pistons right now.

Why TOR does do this? Toronto is 12th in the east, behind the Bulls, and the Hawks, it's over for them. It's clear that Masi is not going to bring back Pascal Siakam, and it's clear that OG does not want to remain a Raptor, (denying his player option), so you send them both to a team that would be willing to pay them in Atlanta. THen TOR would get young Ivey, who would be a much-needed combo guard for the Raptors, it gives them a chance to reset.

Why NYK does do this? Take a player who gets very few minutes and turn him into a player who gets a bunch of minutes and can score 20 ppg for you. All it takes is Det's first which would have just conveyed back to the Pistons this year, and Dallas's pick which is looking to be in the 20s.
