Pelicans season is over this experiment blew up in their face and they’re tired of Zion always being MIA, however this is a tactical retreat not a surrender. Pels cash in now and get some interesting young players and solid bench units to keep them moderately competitive while still gaining some draft capital. A lineup of DJ - KCP - trey murphy - Herb and Wendel is not nearly enough to be competitive in this western conference climate but it’ll at least keep them afloat in a couple years tops they’ll be back looking to compete.

For other teams

• Raps take a moderate gamble on Zion suddenly becoming healthy to finally get a proper PF. I think it’s best this way if we run point Scottie permanently move IQ to his natural role and bench Grady. Plus with Zion out indefinitely this season we can still tank pretty hard one last time

-Magic part ways with the awful KCP experiment and try to fix their shooting in other player pels might have to send over some srps here tho

-OKC this is pretty improbable but it was hard to find a good suitor for BI that could also be profitable for the pels. This still works OKC doesn’t have to move anything major value or roster wise they bench isiah joe and move jdub down to fit BI and i’m sure it’ll be easy for them to move some money around prior to doing this
