Why Toronto Does This:

They want to move Bruce Brown before the deadline, in this trade they do so. They bring back some young assets which have all time lows in value. Labeled as busts. Maybe the Raptors could try and bring one into a decent role player.

Why Detroit Does This:

Pistons are bad, real bad. This doesn't change that, they still get a top pick, however they arent worst team of all time bad. Bruce Brown can make them into a normal tanking team, not one that is just embarrassing to watch. Additionally Bruce Brown gives Cade more offensive freedom without having a ball dominant player like Ivey next to him.
