Day by day, my hopes of the sixers not signing Paul George to save money and because there are better options further go down. I don’t want the Philadelphia 76ers to sign George because…I don’t want to pay a 38 year old 60 million dollars in 4 years, but if we sign George, that’s how the contract would be. But Morey insists the sixers need another scorer when we already have the highest scoring duo in the NBA just because he’s worried about Embiid being hurt. Your medical staff sucks, hire a new one to solve that Morey, instead of paying a 38 year old $60,000,000!!! And besides that, the sixers wouldn’t have money left to sign good role players. If they did, I’m in to this whole George thing. But with this cap space that the sixers have, they have a way at getting these role players.

STARTERS:
PG: TYRESE MAXEY Maxey, a rising 23-year-old all star guard is a restricted free agent, and there’s about a 0.000829% chance he walks in free agency. It’s just not happening, he wants to stay in Philly, and if he got any good offer outside of Philly, the sixers can match.
SG: PAUL GEORGE Read the description, you get the gist on this man? Aging all star guard/forward who can shoot+wants money
SF: KELLY OUBRE JR. Oubre was signed to a vet minimum last year and proved to be an important rotational piece that certainly outplayed his contract. It’s time the sixers give him money. We can’t lose this guy in free agency, he AND George next to Maxey and Embiid would be impossible to stop and great on defense
PF: PATRICK WILLIAMS Williams is a shooter that can take pressure off of the Maxey/George/Embiid big 3. If all of those guys get doubled at times, Williams shoots 40% from 3, and he’s cheap and young. Yes, he was a draft bust for Chicago in 2020, but the sixers don’t need a star forward that Chicago was hoping he would develop into
C: JOEL EMBIID Arguably the best scorer in the NBA, but will start to age soon, and that is not good with his injury history, which has held the sixers back for 10 years. But, Daryl Morey can sign players to carry the load if god forbid Joel gets hurt.

6th: ALEX CARUSO The 76ers can swing a draft night trade for Caruso by swinging the 16th pick + 5 future second round picks +Jeff Dowtin Jr. for Caruso. Caruso is a 3 & D guard who is one of the best perimeter defenders in the NBA, a perfect fit for the sixers.
7th: CLINT CAPELA Paul Reed is not working out as a backup big for Joel Embiid. He’s partly why the sixers sucked when Embiid got hurt. He’s just not big enough for a center. So, they bring in a starting caliber center with experience (like Capela or Jonas Valanciunas) to back him up.
8th: KYLE LOWRY Lowry is a tough, former all star but experienced and way past his prime former NBA champion great defensive role player for the sixers that helped them a lot when Morey signed him in the buyout market at this past season’s trade deadline
9th: RICKY COUNCIL IV Council could blossom into a much better role player than he is now if he got playing time. He was an undrafted g-leauge rookie two way player that earned small bits of playing time while showing athletic and versatile flashes when he did play. But he didn’t play enough
10th: NICOLAS BATUM An experienced French veteran the sixers acquired in the James Harden deal at the beginning of the 2023-24 season. He can shoot, pass, play defense, has a high basketball IQ, and brings veteran experience to the table.
11th: CAMERON PAYNE Cameron Payne is a guy who can come off the bench, make a few shots, and get his teammates and the crowd fired up
12th: PAUL REED Paul Reed needs to play power foward this year. He would be a 3rd string PF, but he’s still play. He’s much better in this position than as a backup C
13th: MO BAMBA A reserve center that can back Clint Capela up if Embiid were to get hurt
