Sixers Trade: Simmons, Joe, Reed, 22, 24, 27 frp
Sixers Receive: Murray, Smart
Why the Sixers do it:
They get a good scoring point guard that has shown great consistency, and a brilliant defensive combo guard in smart. This trade improves the Sixers depth significantly, and they give up 3 picks that would more than likely be late first-rounders and Ben Simmons, who will be missed but they definitely upgrade here. They also lose a lot of height, but they should be able to make up for that by the size of their centers and the small ball style of play in today's game
Ideal Starting Lineup:
Murray, Smart, Green, Harris, Embiid
Bench:
Maxey, Milton, Curry, Thybulle, Drummond
Celtics Trade: Richardson, Smart, Schroder
Celtics Receive: Simmons, Bates-Diop, 27 frp (Via 76ers)
Why the Celtics do it:
This Celtics team has been needing a reshuffle, and they get a brilliant big 3 while giving away only 2 good players. Schroder & Smart is a fair deal for a guy like Simmons, because he gives them an upgrade defensively, and his offensive shortcomings don't effect the team because they have so much firepower on that end. He also brings very versatile size to the team.
Ideal Starting Lineup:
Simmons, Brown, Tatum, Hernangomez, Williams III
Bench:
Pritchard, Nesmith, Langford, Parker, Kanter
Spurs Trade: Murray, Bates-Diop
Spurs Receive: Richardson, Joe, Reed, Schroder, 22 & 24 frp
Why the Spurs do it:
The Spurs give away their main scorer, but in return get 2 great young pieces and 2 good veteran guards that can lead this team for the next few years. They also get 2 semi-valuable frps to use which could get them more solid young guys. This trade gives them more scoring over a wider range of players, and set the Spurs up nicely for the future
Ideal Starting Lineup:
Schroder, Richardson, Johnson, Young, Poeltl
Bench:
White, Forbes, Vassell, McDermott, Landale
Other Notable Players:
Jones, Joe, Reed, Aminu, Primo, Walker
