So my school has some weird thing that on whatever week they want to, there's a competition based off of clothing items. On Monday, that theme happened to be a favorite team. I was going to wear my Kings shirts, until I realized they were in the laundry. So, I picked my 2nd favorite team, the Hornets (yes I'm weird.) The big problem was, the only Hornets piece of clothing I had was a Devonte Graham jersey when he was on the Hornets. However, I've worn it before and no one cared, so that'll be the case again, and I can have a peaceful day, right? Well, I put that to the test.

The first couple hours go by, and, by then, no one had said anything. Then, just before lunch, one 7th grader sees my jersey, walks up to me somewhat menacingly, and says to me "It's the Graham Cracker person!" I was confused. The graham cracker person? I've never had that nickname? Was this some ploy pulled by everyone else in Middle School? Well, it wasn't, because after 10 seconds of silence, he asks me "Wait, is that his actual nickname?" which, if it was, would also give the nickname to Alexander Graham Bell, and anyone else who had Graham in their name. So, I responded with "no" while laughing because I'd never heard it before. So, I continue with my day, and 4 hours later, an 8th Grader looks at my jersey in the distance and says "It's graham cracker!" I was about to enter an internal state of panic, until I realized this would be the last time someone would say that to me. I still had random thoughts in my head, but didn't respond to him because I had places to be (like my car when getting picked up.)

So moral of the story, do NOT wear a Devonte Graham jersey to school.
