The 3-Team trade :

  • gets the Pistons a first round pick, the expiring veteran contract of Gallo and the still young and full of upside Romeo Langford. They are still rebuilding around Cade, an extra first won't hurt and they will likely add a Top 3 selection at the draft.

  • the Hawks land Lonnie Walker, Doug McDermott and Keita Bates Diop. Lonnie brings a lot of upside and a lot of what they lost in Cam Reddish, a player very athletic capable of defending 1-3 and also while being inconsitent can get hot and catch fire. Doug McDermott would be a very much needed vet experience capable of knocking down 3's while being a capable (albeit not great) defender on the wing. Keita Bates Diop is very underrated and would be a fine addition as a rotation forward capable of defending multiple positions and also be very productive (ndr : his amazing 31 pts game against the Lakers) they also swap their first round pick this year for the Celtics 25th pick to avoid paying a heavy first round. They get a 2nd rounder too.

  • The Spurs get Jerami Grant from the Pistons, a great forward addition and need for the spurs. He brings them instant offense and also has only one year on his contract so could sign him again or let him go if it doesn't work, might even trade him at the deadline. They get the Hawks pick wich is the 16th pick, they could have the 9th and 16th pick wich would be pretty good to add assets on the bench or trade up in the top 7,6. They also add a 2023 first round protected pick from the Hawks to prepare for the monster class of 23 and have enough assets to be relevant come draft night.

Free agency :

The Pistons sign back Marvin Bagley because he was a great bet for them this year and could form a pretty interesting duo with Cade in time as a PnR duo/

The Spurs manage to sign Zach LaVine. Might seem lick a reach but hear me out : The Bulls are in shambles after being dismantled by the Milwaukee Bucks, Demar will be 34 next year, Lonzo/PatWilliams/Caruso were injured all the time, he has a chance to play here under Pop (who he obviously really liked during the Tokyo Olympics when you hear his interviews) but also with his very good Seattle friend and new backcourt partner Dejounte Murray. This backcourt would wreack havoc in the league. But also they have now Jerami Grant to form a team poised to make some noise during the post season. Keldon Johnson would round up the starting lineup as an energy guy capable of knocking down his 3's at a very high rate, bully physically his opponents and defend 1 to 4's. Poeltl comes at the 5 to lock down the paint. They could Draft guys like Tari Eason and Jalen Duren to make it perfect The Spurs 2022-2023 roster :

Starting 5 :

Dejounte Murray / Zach LaVine / Keldon Johnson / Jerami Grant / Jakob Poeltl

The bench :

Tre Jones / Joshua Primo / Devin Vassell / Josh Richardson / Tari Eason / Jalen Duren /

Joe Wieskamp / Devontae Cacok / Zach Collins / + 2 2way contract
