The Mavs got exactly what they needed at the deadline: big man depth. Their guard play is already elite with Luka and Kai starting, and guys like Hardy, THJ, and Exum off the bench. By acquiring PJ and Gafford, their starting lineup now has the PF spot solidified and a better center off the bench than Powell. I think that with these moves, the Mavs will end the season as one of the best teams in the league and be a dark horse candidate to win the West along with the TWolves, Thunder, Suns, Warriors, and Lakers, behind the Nugs and Clips.
