Free agent targets: I’m not sure we need pitching as we have a ton of depth but the problem is injuries and we won’t have a fuk rotation at the beginning of the year and a 3rd great starting pitcher is exactly what we need. I would put Zac gallen is the guy I would be very high on if I’m the Yankees. It may take a while for him to settle in like rodon but I think it’s worth it. Tatsuya imai from Japan is a guy we have been linked with and he would be perfect for us as we have missed out on guys like yoshibobu Yamamoto to the dodgers and imai said he would rather beat the dodgers then be with the dodgers and we give him the perfect opportunity for that as the Mets don’t. We also need an outfielder and that could be in play with bellinger could come back Adolis Garcia could come or Kyle Tucker comes. We could go after realmuto or Jonah heim at catcher or Pete Alonso at first if that ends up becoming big needs if wells and rice can do it or wells can’t but rice can at first or rice can behind the plate. Relief options could be Edwin Diaz to solidify the back end as the real closer.

Trade targets: we could go after a starting pitcher like sandy alacantara and that would help but we could also go with Edward Cabrera from there and to fix the outfield someone like Byron buxton is very appealing. Someone at Cather like Ryan Jeffers is really appealing or Tristan casas at first base.

Hot take. We’ll win the division over the jays and Red Sox.
