ps: Fanspo dont have the right picks for the Clippers. Imagine the deal have their 26 (top 40 protected) + 31 second round picks.

Why LAC do it:

Get rid of 2 players out of their rotation Slightly improve their scoring when Harden is off the floor

Why UTA do it:

Open minutes for Collier Prepare themselves for even more rookies coming next draft Grab a valuable future second…

The Wizards will go into the 2024 NBA Draft after their first season of full rebuild, after trading Bradley Beal to the Suns in the 2023 offseason and picking Bilal Coulibaly in the 2023 Draft. Besides Coulibaly, the only other young player that should be seen as a (potential) high-end starter is Avidja. In an ideal world, the Wizards would try to grab a high-usage guard to give the keys with their high pick. However, in this class, the likes of Topic and Dillingham don't seem to be regarded as worthy of a top 3 pick. With the 2nd pick in the upcoming draft, the Wizards will likely have their eyes on three potential prospects for them to select and add to the wing duo:

Alex Sarr Zac Risacher Donovan Clingan

All of those prospects do have not enough self-creation to demand high usage in their first year, which will create a gap in usage on their starting lineup. When we look at the current draft class, some interesting guard prospects can fit well with the 3-man young core that the W…

The 2024 draft assets are a mess on the trade machine so the second-round picks being moved are there to represent the first-round pick in 2024 from each team.

After a disappointing season plagued by injuries, the Memphis Grizzlies will start the offseason with the 9th pick in the 2024 Draft. Memphis has a solid and still young foundation led by Morant, Jackson and Bane, that already tasted success in the regular season and some losses to more experienced teams in the playoffs. To return stronger and try to make a deep run, the Grizzlies will need to address their hole at C, left by the departure of Adams in the 2024 Trade Deadline. Some established names can be options as trade targets, for example, Jarrett Allen and Jakob Poeltl; but Memphis has a unique opportunity to land a prospect very close to their draft range that can fit like a glove in their starting lineup: Donavan Clingan.

Clingan is a 7'3 center who was part of the back-to-back NCAA championship by UConn, being one if n…

Season Review

The Lakers season was hyped by the media entering the season for two reasons.

The team had found a really good starting 5 plus Rui off the bench and it stabilized their team and led them to a conference finals appearance despite barely any time as a team. Surely an offseason with the same rotation would lead to a great regular season. They appeared to address all their major needs in free agency, with big man depth, a few swings on defensive wings who can maybe shoot, and a quality 3&D point guard who can play the Schroder role but also shoot.

Neither of these things came true for two reasons.

Jarred Vanderbilt and Gabe Vincent got injured early and missed almost the entire season, crippling depth and worse, damaging the rotation as Vando was a key starter and Gabe was guard #3. Missing them both meant Ham tried to solve problems that didn’t need to exist. Ham simply wasn’t up to task. He never settled on a rotation. Decided he really wanted to force Reddish and Princ…

Season Review

After acquiring Kevin Durant the previous deadline and Bradley Beal this past off season, the Suns entered this NBA season with championship expectations as the most all in team in the league. However, the Suns started this season off slowly winning only 14 of their first 29 games with Bradley Beal only healthy enough to suit up for 6 games.

Dealing with various ailments throughout the year, Bradley Beal only played 53 games this past season. Consequently, the trio of Booker, Durant, and Beal could only play 862 minutes together before heading to the playoffs. The trio together had a 120.5 offensive rating and a 6.6 Net Rating, a good but far from elite mark.

After finishing the regular season strong to avoid the play-in and ending with a 49--33 record, Suns faced a first round matchup with the Timberwolves. After being thoroughly outplayed on both ends, this series can be summarized by a simple gif.

2024 Results

Record: 47-35 (1st in division, 5th in conference)

Playoffs: Defeated by Cleveland 4-3 in the first round

Notable awards/Nominations: Paolo Banchero (All Star), Jamaal Mosley (3rd in Coach of the Year Standings), Jalen Suggs (Votes for MIP and DPOY)

Season Review

By most standards, the Orlando over-achieved and impressed in the 2023-2024 season. With most assuming that they would be around .500 and barely in the play ins before the season began, a solid 5th seed run and clear playoff run deep into the last round was above most considered they were capable. Paolo established himself as a clear 1st option while Jalen Suggs showed great improvement in his shooting and decision making. The Magic bench was possibly the biggest surprise of the season as a rare healthy season showed a benefit to depth.

Still, some things were disappointing in the season. Marcelle Fultz never really healed right or maybe at all and showed he still cannot provide spacing from the 3pt line. …

Jazz trade Fontecchio to Pistons

Pistons receive: Simone Fontecchio

Grade: C

Jazz receive: Kevin Knox, 2024 second-round pick, and Gabriele Procida

Grade: B+

Fontecchio is a cool low usage role player for a win now team, that's not Detroit. Getting a top 35 second for the rights of not extending him is a good move by the Jazz.

Celtics trade for Grizzlies’ Tillman

Celtics receive: Xavier Tillman

Grade: B+

Grizzlies receive: Lamar Stevens, 2027 second-round pick (via Hawks), 2030 second-round pick (via Mavs)

Grade: B

Tillman adds a 3rd big to the celtics rotation which was much needed, and even though I'm not one of his biggets fans, he was unquestionably one of the best candidates at that price range. For the Grizz, this is one of the bunch of moves they made outside the top end of their rotation in an attempt to retool their roster for next year while trying to gain some assets.

Wolves acquire Monte Morris from Pistons

Timberwolves receive: Monte Morris

Grade: B-

Pistons…

Guys not on the board I wouldn't draft. I'd just trade the second away if the board is empty or the players left don't really fill team needs.

Welcome to the Draft Sleepers, another banger series from your favorite creator's favorite creator, kicking out the 2023 offseason posts. In this lovely series of quick posts we'll briefly discuss some decent prospects outside the consensus top 25 range that have been a little overlook considering their stock. The first edition will have Julian Phillips, Emoni Bates, Nikola Djurisic and Charles Bediako. How many posts in this we'll have? Well let's wait and see.

Julian Phillips

Julian Phillips is likely a really good long term defensive prospect in the class. He's exceedingly reliable about making simple rotations, has S tier physical tools at 6'7" and a 7' wingspan next to excellent leaping ability and lateral quickness that allow him to guard 1-5 at the college level (and the inevitably condensed version of that at the next level that runs like 1.5-5's but not Embiid), and occasionally does some more complex problem solving. Offensively, well, let's just say you're hoping it was Te…

Ladies and gentleman, let's start again this epic series of posts that everyone loves. For the first of our offseason, we're starting with prospect rankings. Please insert the top 15 players in the upcoming draft and I share count the votes and announce the results (3rd or 4th of June). The top 1 will gain 15 points, the #2 14 points, and so on; and all ballots will be added up then the final rankings will be shared.

Voting example:
