If you don't know who Victor Wembanyama is by now, you have to be living off grid. I can't remember a time in my life that an NBA prospect garnished this much hype and attention and that includes LeBron; granted LeBron was pre-social media boom. The NBA markets it's star players better than any other league on the planet and that is evident by the fact that a player not even in the league yet (Wemby) has had every single game of his stream-able (for free) on the NBA app thus far. Wembanyama is a once in a lifetime type of talent. He has every skill in the book and he stands in a ridiculous 7'4 frame. He moves with great fluidity, has exceptional handles for his size and a really smooth and consistent stroke from anywhere on the court. Offensively he has very little holes in his game and will likely be an elite weapon from day one. On the defensive end of the floor he guards well in space thanks to his agility and his length allows him to make up for nearly any speed mismatch as well. Unsurprisingly he is an elite rim protector both on ball and in off ball help situations. Whoever gets the first overall pick will really be landing something special and assuming good health it is hard to imagine Wembanyama not having immediate success.
