Saw him at the G League Elite Camp and really impressed me, so I did some digging. He has great tools, with a freaky wingspan and really nice lateral quickness. While no one would classify him as a deadeye three point shooter, he’s still a clear plus on that part of basketball. He flashes some super intriguing guard skills as well, that I don’t know will translate but are enticing for sure. A great 3 and d prospect, albeit a bit older.

Wiggins is one of my favorite guys in the draft. He closed out the season nice off Maryland, and is a nice off ball player who can shoot off the catch and the dribble. A 6-6 swingman, he's not a bad defender who can defend, this th he can have lapses. Just a really smooth off ball mover who can score the ball and has a rise from the G League Elite camp to receiving looks in the early second round.

Offense

• Really good looking stroke, fluid, graceful, and smooth release.

• Smart finisher. Will pull up and knock down short range or will has way into a layup and use his plus length.

• Doesn't complicate it, has an objective to score and locks in on doing it.

• Excellent in transition, thanks in part to his very good speed.

• Takes care of the ball, makes the right reads in the roll game, but not an initiator.

Defense

• Good rebounder for his size and position.

• Good length for effecting shots and he knows how to utilize it.

• Can be susceptible to blow byes coming around screens.

• Occasionally not low enough in stance.

• Overall he should be an average or better defender.

Swing Factors

• Shooting Consistency - A good not great shooter. Can he rise to a more impressive level?

• Man defense - How consistent of a defender can he be? Better than competent?

Role

• A two-way threat with sound IQ, but no elite skill.

• LOW: Wiggins is just a bit overmatched athletically, his shooting is just ok and he can't defend the perimeter as well as hoped. He fills out a roster with his adequate skillset.

• HIGH: Wiggins asserts his shooting and finishing while taking good care of the ball. Defensively he rebounds well and has some versatility on the perimeter. He is a solid bench contributor sitting in a 7th/8th man role.

Positives

-Intriguing shot maker that could potentially be a real 3 level scorer, not an elite athlete but can create space using his body and a mix of spin moves and crossovers

-Improved his craft around the rim and his decision making, though neither are great yet, he showed some real solid finishes in traffic, while not having a complete scorer's mentality on offense

-Showed some nice potential on-ball as a defender, has a 6'10 wingspan at 6'5 and could guard 2's and 3s in the NBA

Negatives

-Really has struggles with consistency as a scorer, goes through cold stretches from 3 that make him look undraftable, 36% from 3 is solid, but needs to improve if he wants to build out a somewhat 3 and D role in the NBA

-Should cut out some long 2s in the league, he shows upside but isn't great at them

-Could have trouble guarding quicker guards, overall needs to show a bit more effort on defense
