Reaves is a prospect that I feellike I have to put on my board, but I really just don’t buy at all. His shot has taken a very harsh fall down, his passing is fairly rudimentary, and his athleticism will most definitely not translate. He has a solid handle and is pretty crafty but that combination of lack of athleticism, defense, and a solid jumpshot is a death sentence.

Austin Reaves is a 6-5 combo guard who possesses scoring traits. He didn''t take as many threes as you want but showed some three-level scoring and shot creating. Yet when I watch him play he takes tough shots and doesn''t pass the ball as well enough I would like. I hope he''s a sixth man like Lou Williams. The question is: is his 30.5 percent three-point clip showing something or does his 87 percent free throw clip show potential as a knockdown shooter. He performed well at the combine, so I may be able to trust his J.

Stroke looks nice but his high volume 3pt Shooting numbers look bad. 26% from 3 so far in his Oklahoma career, but his 86% FT is a positive. Has been much more of a facilitator in year 2 at OK with 5+ assists to couple with 5+ RBD and 15+ a game. Good court vision and Looks for oop feeds which will bode well at the next level. Tight handle attacking aggressively. Doesn't shy away from contact, embraces it. Has some nice dunks in his highlights and his athleticism doesn't look fully equipped for the next level.
