Really good shooter, off the catch, off movement, off the dribble, this is his bankable skill and it gives him a great floor to begin with. He’s also a good defender, his wingspan is good and he tries hard and has good hands. His passing is a weakness of his but it’s not bad by any means, his main sell is his outstanding shooting and self creation shown at the future national champions Baylor

Ja'Kobe Walter is a baller. It's close between him and Knecht for who is/will be a better bucket getter. I understand his FG% was bad, but I think a lot of it was his shot selection, and while his shot attempts will go down, I think the overall selection will improve.

Defensively there is some potential. I'm not overly confident he'll even be an above average defender, I just know there will be worse defenders than him even in his rookie year. Realistically I see him as a complimentary defender who teams don't pick on, but isn't guarding the best guard.

Ceiling: Devin Booker Floor: Phoenix Danny Ainge Comparison: Charlotte Terry Rozier

Favorite Fits:

  1. Utah Jazz

  2. Memphis Grizzlies

  3. Oklahoma City Thunder

Ja'Kobe Walter projects to be a high level shooting guard. He's a great shooter with elite range and good form, but he has struggled as of late. He challenges defenders with his combination of handles and pace and his a good pull up middy. He has a deep bag, making him a fun player to watch. He's good on both ends, playing with a lot of hustle. He isn't an elite athlete but enough to hold his own in the league.
