Huff is a dude that’ll probably get a little bump up from me later on, but right now this is where he sits. He has a 3 pointer that is super easy to project, and his defensive IQ is super solid. His athleticism issues are obvious, especially on defense, where he’s sometimes targeted in the pick and roll. He combats this with great knowhow but sometimes that isn’t enough. If his lateral movement increases just a bit, watch out.

Jay Huff is the second mentioned Virginia guy in this big board. He''s really improved his three-point shot and free throw, and I like his shot blocking and rebounding enough. He can really be a nice stretch five who can score when needed. The concern for him is his ceiling and whether he can adjust to the fast pace of the NBA game, as he played at Virginia. A unique stretch big who may be a Brook Lopez type in the NBA and is more than NBA ready.

Projected draft range: 58-undrafted

7'1 with a 7'5 wingspan. A versatile big who can shoot the triple, block shots, rebound, and pass the ball a little bit. Can catch oops with ease. Embraces yamming. Covers tons of ground with his strides, may be able to rim protect at a high level despite his often questioned foot speed, hopeful that he can switch a bit on the perimeter. Nice post game with hooks and footwork. Huge energy on momentum plays shows his passion. Has pump fakes. At times his skills can make you salivate. Nice touch around the rim, on the lookout for the open man and a good passer. His shooting stroke is legit 45% from 3, 79% FT support it. Per 40 - 20, 10, 3.7 BLK, 1.6 AST, 2 TO show he can do everything. 71% 2PA show the beautiful inside touch and 7.5 OBPM/ 5.7 DBPM should an impact player on both ends. Heavily under the radar big who may be able to surprise at the next level.

Remember watching him do some stuff a couple years back, assuming he got better. Really just wanted an even 50 players on the board.
