Not in love with Weems like others, but definitely shows some potential to play a 3&D role. He missed a lot of shots around the basket which concerns me about the efficiency, and he sometimes is reluctant to take jumpers, which makes me skeptical on whether he truly will be confident enough to take shots when his team needs him to. Still, he has nice size as a wing and has athletic ability to guard wings.

6''7 with a 6''11 wingspan. Major regression in year 2. Shooting under 40% this year with a -2.9 OBPM. FT% has stayed stagnant at 61% on half the attempts. Assists have dropped in half and his turnovers have shot up. This year has been very discouraging in his development. Nice off dribble stroke and smooth looking shot in general. Defensively has the physical tools to make an impact. At times will make the extra pass. 36 inch standing vertical. More of just a transition prospect right now than he should be, needs to return to school to recoup some of his lost draft stock. If he goes about things the right way next year he could shoot up boards and this could be a completely different conversation. As of right now I could not in good faith recommend hims as a draft selection.

Played well last year and after a slow start, Weems has played very efficiently since. He has an NBA body and the athleticism to back it up.
