WHY DO TEAMS ACCEPT?

San-Antonio Spurs:

The Spurs are looking to improve their roster around Wemby. As much as they are looking to build around the draft they could also use players who could help accelerate the rebuild. Alex Caruso would be a great fit on this team. The Spurs would be the most fun team to watch with a Caruso, Wemby type game plan. If they get Caruso they would also not need to draft a top guard like Nikola Topic or Rob Dillingham this year because of Tre Jones off the bench. As for Keldon Johnson; he has been a decently good player for the Spurs. Has shown little buts here and there of potential but hasn’t shown huge improvement. He could easily be replaced with someone like Zacharie Risacher or Ron Holland in this years draft.

Chicago Bulls:

The Bulls are in a bit of a conundrum right now. They need to move on from this era of guys. They aren’t contending or tanking and should be thinking about blowing up the team this off-season. As much as he is a fan favorite, trading Alex Caruso would be a good way to start a clear out. It would clear more minutes for Coby White and it would allow him to reinstate his position as the best PG and future of the team. Getting Robert Williams in return could trigger a Nikola Vucevic trade and Timelord could become a key piece alongside Coby White and Patrick Williams in this Bulls retooling.

Portland Trailblazers:

The Bkazers would be looking to strengthen their depth at the forward spot this off-season. With Jerami Grant possibly heading out the door, Keldon Johnson could be a great long-term replacement. He hasn’t really shown major development at the Spurs but could shine in a new opportunity alongside Scoot Henderson and Shaedon Sharpe at the Portland Trail Blazers. Trading Timelord would be the right move as well as he doesn’t really fit the game style of the squad and has been injured for 2 months. Plus getting off Matisse Thybulle’s contract could be handy going into FA. Draft prospects could include Matas Buzelis, Kevin McCullar Jr and Cody Williams.
