Front court needs work. I don’t think Olshey is willing to take a big risk, but will make a Covington-level trade.

I’ve always liked Barnes as a complementary player. Our nine-man rotation would have a lot of match-up possibilities with Dame, CJ, Barnes, RoCo, Nurk, Norm, Anfernee, Snell, and Zeller.

Kings? I know they want to win but probably realize Barnes doesn’t fit their timeline. They get a developing player in Nasir, athleticism in DJJ, the lightly protected first, and clear some salary in the process. This might also make room for Bagley to have a bigger impact.

Reasons it won’t happen: luxury tax, kings can maybe do better. But…ya never know.
