So in the final weeks of the preseason we did a special edition of the rank your players series, asking users to list the top 10 players in the NBA for the upcoming season (22/23). I gave up on counting the votes but I actually found the spreadsheet today somewhere on my PC. Lets show the resuts, in order of most points to the last voted. We will have more than 10 players on the list because some players were mentioned in individual rankings. The original post is here. In total there were 20 people that shared their rankings. Thank you guys, you the real MVPs.
Its a bit late but still, let's overreact to the stuff that happened early in the season and compare to the rankings lol.

Here are the players that didn't made the top 10:
16-18th place (1 point): Kyrie Irving, Trae Young and Demar Derozan
15th place (2 points): Damian Lillard
13-14th place (3 points): Devin Booker and Antony Davis
12th place (8 points): Zion Willamson
11th place (17 points): Jimmy Butler
Now our consensus fanspo top 10 players in the NBA for the 22/23 season:
10th: Ja Morant (20 points)
9th: Jayson Tatum (29 points)
8th: Kawhi Leonard (75 points)
7th: Lebron James (93 points)
6th: Joel Embiid (110 points)
5th: Kevin Durant (122 points)
4th: Luka Doncic (133 points)
3rd: Stephen Curry (136 points)
2nd: Nikola Jokic (151 points)
1st: Giannis Antetokounmpo (195 points)
Some random facts:
Giannis was #1 in 16 out of 20; with 3 second places and 1 third.
Both Jokic and Doncic were the other two players listed first, with 2 ranks where each were #1 (poor Steph).
Funnily enough both KD (#5) and Embiid (#6) weren't feature in 1 list each, while the King himself ended the final ranking lower (#7) because he was consistently out of the top 5 but was listed by everyone.
A lot of people mentioned some doubts surronding Kawhi for the next season, wich seems a good take considering how he's starting the season in and out of the lineup.
Zion's ranking was inflated by someone that voted him 4th in the league, giving him 7 points and making him "the best of the rest" in players that were only in 1 or 2 lists.
We can also kind of divide the players in tiers following their points:
Giannis the greek god alone by himself lol
Jokic, Curry, and Doncic
KD, and Embiid
Lebron
Kawhi
Tatum, Ja, and Jimmy
Zion, Booker, AD, Dame, Demar, Trae, and Kyrie
