Listening to the Bill Simmons podcast they talk about the idea of KAT to the Knicks next offseason. I wanted to take a look at what that would be like if both teams were to make a move at the trade deadline. In this situation I'm going to assume both teams are sitting at the 8-11 seed and fighting to not be in the play in tournament.

Why the TWolves do this: With the spacing on this team being so terrible and KAT and Rudy not being able to play efficiently together on the court at the same time (Although KAT has had a surprising amounting of assists to Rudy this year) the Wolves should look to focus on ANT and developing his talent and building the team around him. With ANT saying the spacing on the court makes it hard for him to get to the rim this trade brings in another young guard in RJ who hasn't quite lived up to his potential since being drafted but I believe with figure it, along with Toppin who once finally is getting minutes has shown he can be a solid player in this league. Rose also makes a return to the Wolves mainly to make the contacts work, unless the Wolves want to bring in Randle but not sure how much of an asset he is to this team (let me know what you think in the comments). Why the Knicks do it: The Knicks look to bring in more star talent to their roster and with RJ not having the start of the year expected after signing his extension. KAT brings a new look to the Knicks frontcourt and are able to use some of the many 1RD picks they have to their name. To be honest I am not sure how Knicks fans would like KAT but he does return to former coach Tom Thibodeau. This does gives the Knicks a log jam in the front court with Randle, Robinson, Hartenstein all fighting for minutes (this really means no minutes for Jericho Sims this season once everyone is healthly) so I would guess to see another move maybe trying to get a defensive minded wing. Really just any wing as they don't have any depth at all there.
