Patty Mills coming off the bench. Best roster the Blazers have had with Lillard hands down. Arguably three stars in Grant, Simons and Lillard and two complimentary defensive players in TJ Warren and Montrezl Harrell, something the Blazers have been seriously lacking in years of late.

Reason Blazers do this: Lillard is a once in a lifetime player and parting with a couple seconds and a mediocre at best 1RP is a no brainer.

Why Pistons do this: get expiring contracts and valuable picks. They have faith in being good by 2025 hence why they part with that first in exchange for 2 high value seconds.

Nets: get off contract and get a pretty valuable pick
